A very close game took place in San Salvador betweenSalvadorenos and Cojute . Fourth ranked Salvadorenos (7-3) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Cojute (4-7). Salvadorenos managed to escape with a 3-point win 71-68 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cojute. Salvadorenos forced 19 Cojute turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Mali power forward Ibrahima Traore (208-2005, college: Utah) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Diego Minero (187-2007) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Salvadorenos' coach used entire bench in such tough game. Puerto Rican guard Hector Maldonado (185-1991) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American center Troidell Carter (206-1991, college: Slippery Rock) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively for Cojute in the defeat. Salvadorenos maintains fourth place with 7-3 record. Loser Cojute keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.
